A naming ceremony is a non-religious celebration of the arrival of a new child.  It is a way of welcoming the child and officially introducing your new edition to family and friends.  There are various ways of tailor-making the ceremony to suit your needs.  You may want to include poems, readings or quotes of personal significance.  Often a symbolic gesture is also made.  I have various ideas for you to choose from to help you in planning your naming ceremony.

 

Same-sex Commitment Ceremonies

A commitment ceremony celebrates the love and bond between two people and is a public declaration of their intention to be together forever, as partners in life and love.  It is an alternative to a wedding and not legally binding.  

 

Renewal of Vows

Many couples choose to renew their vows to celebrate a milestone in their marriage.  It is an opportunity to reflect on your journey together and deepen your commitment to each other in front of your children, family and friends.  You may even wish to reaffirm with your original vows or some couples choose to re-write their vows to represent their feelings today.
